Kaaterskill Falls Hike

Two southerners looking for a break from New York City, with absolutely no knowledge of the area found the best kept secret in the Catskill State Park. Located on the edge of the park, the Catskill Mountain Lodge is a short and scenic drive away from the park's most picturesque attractions.

The owner of the lodge, Al, is reminiscent of a wise, old owl who will stop at nothing to ensure your stay is as enjoyable and pleasant as possible. He will give you directions to area attractions, arrange taxi service and serenade you with the music of such icons as Dave Brubeck and Antonio Carlos Jobim while you dine at Kindred Spirits. Most importantly, while we were waiting for our bus back to the city, Al ran down the street waving the bus down for us to make certain we didn't miss it.

The Catskill Mountain Lodge is a home away from home we'd recommend to anyone.

Family Ski Holiday

We had a very good time at Catskill Mountain Lodge . You two were so kind and your hospitality was so good ! My daughter enjoyed the count down party with my wife. She had an excellent experience and she was so excited. I'm looking forward to seeing you this year , in the summer, if possible.

Porterhouse Nights . . .

Dear Al,

Well, we came home and had to go back to reality. We had a really great time this weekend and want to thank you and Kathy for being such great hosts. The Porterhouse steaks were EXCELLENT, as well as the hospitality. And, I must say, I feel I made a friend in you.
